Monica opened L.A. Film Locations in 2003 after having many years of experience in Commercial Asset Management in Southern California. She has worked for Forest City Enterprises, Equitec Properties, and as V.P. of Asset Management Services for The Boyt Company. Her portfolio was comprised of over a million square feet of commercial properties located throughout Southern California.
There was a need for a Location Service at that time and with several family members in the entertainment business and several years of planning, she decided to give the Entertainment Industry a try and never looked back. Monica found her niche in the Location Service Industry in the Entertainment world and opened L.A. Film Locations. The combination of her experience with managing commercial properties and now managing properties for filming purposes proved to be a perfect match.
Monica is very active in her community and is a member of several organizations including the SCV Chamber of Commerce, Valley Industrial Association, Assistance League, Location Managers Guild of America, Soroptomist International of Greater Santa Clarita Valley, OTNA and more.
Monica holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Economics from the University of Delaware and is fluent in both English and Spanish. Originally from Panama, she currently resides just outside of Los Angeles with her family.
